When I insert a USB Stick (Tried several formats) in my USB connection on the side of my  KD-55A1 and register this USB stick (Not format it) it all goes fine. The TV regonizes the stick and I can export. However next I goto export channel settings exports, the TV exports the data to my connected HD (Bottom HDD USB connection). I can see the data on my HD but why does it not export to the USB Stick (or give an a choice where to save it)?

    Hi Waalpaul,

    Welcome to our community!

Could you try again but don't register the USB stick on your TV? Usually, operations like playing back content from a USB stick or exporting channel listings to a USB don't require registration.

Let us know if the same issue happens when you don't register the USB stick.

    Regards,

    Batee5

Following all the instruction given by Sony.

Downloaded and ran the Mac app which is available. looks a bit rough around the edges but I'm guessing it works... I'm guessing.

When Inserted a USB disk into USB slot 1 on the 2015 Bravia running Android TV picked up and gave me options.
    Look at Pictures

    Watch Videos

    Register disk

    ETC.

    I went back.

Having already read what Baatee5 wrote back in July. I did not format the disk.
I then procceded as instruction to.....

Insert a memory stick into a USB port on your TV.
    a) For Sony’s Android models go to:
[Home] > [Settings] > [Channel Setup] > [Digital setup] > [Technical Set-up] > [Program List Transfer] > [Export]

'Programme List Transfer' is greyed out and cannot be selected.

So.... I take out the USB and push it back in. Again, get the message asking what to do, so I try with the format to use as storgae.
This time I go back to 'Programe List Transfer' and hey presto I can export the information onto the USB Disk. I remove the disk from TV and insert into Macbook. Now I get a Mac message comes up to say disk is not readble and need to be initialised!

I then find a windows pc plug the USB in and same deal, have to format the disk.
I'll also when trying install the PC software of Sony Channle Editor that it failed at every attempt.

Why is it Sony makes everything so conveluted and fails. The day I bought the TV I was so excited, but its been nothing but pain, then Sony killed the remote app which was the only stable and useful thing the TV had to offer.

I don't think I can take any more and a new Panasonic coming up soon...

Another hour of my life I won't get back! Total Nonesense.

davidcora321  - I think you may have solved this one, but you need to re-boot your TV in order to get the new channel list.

Does anyone have any idea why I don't see the encrypted channels with a $, as stated in the documentation. Also, I am assuming that any channel without a name is a data channel?

It would be nice to have a "PRINT-OUT" facility with the ability to invert the printed page currently mising on version 1.2.0.

It's all very well for Freeview where the guide is sufficient and not too slow, but on satellite where you can get up to well over 1000 channels it would be nice to be able to print out the complete channel list as an aid memoir the make your selections about what to keep and what to delete.

Following on from sgsony's comments about older TVs having the ability to rearrange TV channel listings, I had a Panasonic Viera Neo Plasma that was able not only to do this but also to update channels as and when satellite channels were moved to alternative transponders keeping the preferred channel number. It also showed all radio channels in a seperate guide. My Sony Android TV is very basic in this regard.
