Sound quality of Sony Bravia TV 32”

Hi I’ve just bought a Sony Bravia 32” KDL-32WE613, and at first I thought it was great and was very happy with it. After 2 days I’ve noticed when I watch a tv show with a laugh track the sound is awful, it’s like it’s coming from really far away. Now I can do nothing but notice it. Is there a better setting I should be putting it on, or is this how bad it is? I don’t know much about audio set up, etc, so keep it simple please.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Char710,

Welcome to the community.

I'll see if I can track down an answer, but maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.

Thanks,

Pascale

I'm not sure I get what you mean by "a laugh track", but does that happen regardless of show or channel or is it for specific shows or channels?

You can try resetting the audio settings.

I'd also like to know more about your current setup, are you using external devices for example? It's possible the cable may be faulty.

Thanks for your reply.

I mean comedy programmes like The Big Bang Theory, where there is audience laughter. That’s when I notice it the most.

I am using a Sky Q box to watch some shows, but I also am using Netflix that is part of the smart features of the TV. I did a reset to make sure I hadn’t changed anything to something I shouldn’t, but it didn’t help.

Hi there,

I can't think of a fault with the speakers that would affect a very specific element in the audio track like this. It's probably something that can be sorted by changing the audio settings:
