Hi all,
I've got a VGN-A417M notebook with an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 256MB hypermemory video card, with a maximum screen resolution of 1440x900. In 3D-games though, I can only select 1024x768 as the maximum resolution. Is there any way to get the 1440x900 in games?
I've got the latest drivers and I searched the Internet and this forum, but haven't found a solution yet.
Thanks!
I had the same problem with a certain game but after i installed latest driver from ATI website it gives me larger resolutions. One from ATI is newer than one from vaio-link.com if you have that.
Yes I just used the VAIO update. I will check for that driver at the ATi website, thanks!
Edit: I checked http://www.ati.com, but I cant find any driver updates. Where did you find them?
ATi don't make the drivers, Sony do, as it's a franchise.
It's on vaio-link.com
I found the drivers and installed them, but it didn't matter.
Unreal Tournament and C&C Generals still play at a max of only 1024x768...
Solution...?
I think it's the games developer who chooses to make them widescreen
yup i think its got to do with the games.. some games doesnt support widescreen.
But those games do work with widescreen on a Acer with X700 graphics.
Definately a driver thing then
You could try the Omega drivers - but at your own risk
What are the Omega drivers?
