Am I right in thinking that I can only create a CD using SonicStage is if I am using a Sony Vaio Computer with Xp on it and not any old brand. If this is the case does anyone know if there are any plans for Sony to change this and provide us witha SonicStage that can be used with any make and model to create our own CD's.
At the moment I am having to load songs twice onto my hard drive and use a diff software programe to create a CD. Seems a bit crap after going through the ball breaking task of loading all my CD's onto the hard drive in order to transfer them to my Pocket Vaio
I use SS all the time to burn CD's. I have an HP laptop and a Dell desktop both running XP pro. Just go to the transfer menu and create a CD, simle as that.
I must be thick.
Can't find what you are talking about.
Which transfer menu ?
Where is it ?
Nothing on any of the drop down menus says "record a cd" or anything similar
There are three drop down menu bars at the top of SS (Music Source, My Library and Transfer).
Upload the tracks you want into 'My Library', select the ones you want to copy by putting a tick next to them, and then using the 'Transfer' drop down, select 'Create an Audio CD' and click on the red record button to the right of the screen.
SS does have it's limitations in some areas, but you can't fault it's ease of use for copying tracks to either your player or recording to CD.
What version of SS do I need. I am using 2.3 and transfer does not allow me to see a drop down menu.
I can only get the tracks to transfer to my pocket Vaio. If I press the transfer icon on the top right of the screen it only searches for the pocket vaio and does not produce a drop down menu.
I am becoming a bit of a sceptic as to whether SS will ever allow me to cary out this function
Hi there, it sounds like its time to upgrade SS, 3.1 is the version you need now, you will also need to update the firmware on your player too if you havent already,
VP Firmware
And you can get 3.1 Here
It looks pretty much the same but the track organisation is a little different so be prepared for a little info editing when the update is complete,
I can then definatley tell you you will be able to burn audio CD's, I use them in my car, CD text gets added too,
