Does anyone have a problem with USB Drivers dropping out?

My USB drivers seem to drop out everytime I shut-down.  I have to reinstall every time I need to use them - does anyone else have the same problem, or do you know how to resolve permanently?

which VAIO model do you have?

which operating system are you using?

which USB device is having the problem - something you connected, something internal or a host adapter?

Model is  PCG-7184M and operating system is Windows 7.  The USB ports are all internal.
