Far Cry won't work - is it my fault?

Am I being too optimistic trying to run Far Cry on my PGC-Z1XSP? I can't even get it to start up after installation. Are my graphics specs really that poor? BTW love love love this laptop!
TIA,
James

Yes it's a 32MB card. It's a cracker though

Hi there

Just to let you know that today i tryed out FarCry on a PCG-GRT916V and it ran reasonabuly. The settings were 1024X768X32 the textures were at low, it was running triliner filters, and the rest was running at medium. The game was fairly smooth with the odd bit of scenery be redrawn very close.

what made it look realy good was the black onyx screen.

I also tryed the game on a HP zd7065ea and eventhough it has 128MB GX5600 and it was dreadfull, very jumpy. The screen was very dark but when I changed the gamma contrast and brightness the screen went all fuzzy around the trees.

This is odd considering the Sony has the same card with only 64MB of RAM. Obviously the sony has a better driver setup.
