Help me : FS 415B - no recovery disk but formated hard disk

Hi,

I have bought 8 months back a vaio laptop - FS 415B. Unfortuenately I had not made a recovery disk and my laptop got crashed. I am looking for the infromation on th following...please let me know if you can help me. After several invain trails I had to format my disk and lost the recovery hidden portion also.

1. How much Sony will charge me if I want a recovery disk
2. I have a friend with recovery disk for FS 415H model. Can I use that CD.?

Welcome to Club Vaio,

Just to be sure the recovery partition has been deleted you could try pressing F10 repeatedly when starting you vaio, this normally would start the recovery process..:smileyhappy:

Then once your vaio is recovered you could then create a set of recovery disc's by following this guide ..

As far as I'm aware a set of recovery disc's cost approx £70...
