(Sorry about quality, but the pic is from my webcam)

That is good quality for web cam Seb! Which one are you using?

I have removed all stickers as they had become dog-eared from the children constantly picking at them :slight_frown:
Neat alcohol removed the residual glue.

It's a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks

It has CCD sensor. The native resolution is 640x480 pixels at 30Hz.
The senser is very light sensitive. The picture in my old post was in daylight. This one here is with smooth background light.

But the Software is not good. I got problems with SP2.
And the installation wasn't correct. Got some problems. Now I use the cam only with drivers. With Software I got problems like this one.:smileysad:
click me

so, Great Cam, <profanity removed by moderator> Software, weak build in microphone, but it works.

(LOL, live would be sad without my touchpad)

Oh yeah, not good! But, from experience, the software that comes bundled with most web cams is crap! As long as they perform well on third party applications I am happy.

What cost are we talking of for the Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks?

Edit: a search suggests approx. £60 - not cheap:smileysad:

Hmm, it's expensive IMO because I think about to buy a headset. The build in one isn't good. I bought the cam by amazon.de . ( I paid approx 80¿) But my opinion is you buy it and you have it. Normally you use a webcam longer than your PC. That's why I thought I should pay a bit more. But the quality via MSN messenger is reduced. (a bit darker and approx 160x120 pixels, maybe more.) Ask Doomstar, he know it.

Shipping is free and was within 3 days here at my home.

The pic is made with Windows WIA support. And it works fine with MSN.

edit: the green working-LED can be horrible in dark rooms.

btw: sorry that we are out off topic[:">]

My advice is don't. Leave them, they don't look bad, and they let people know what you paid for. Don't use any chemicals like acetone, it will burn through the shell of the VAIO. You could try peeling them off, maybe with a bit water.

I no where your coming from! let your mates see what power you have in your computer.

I leave the stickers on dusnt bother me!

it does bother me. if they put thousands of stickers on hi-fi racks, their sales would drop dramatically.

in my opinion only unexperienced users need a sticker to see what power i have in my computer. and those probably couldn't figure out what to do with information like "Intel Pentium M 750 / GF6200 inside". sony even knows that fact. there's no other reason why they try to tell an interested customer that super-hyper-triple-linked 128MB shared RAM is so giga-fast and much better than any gfx card with exclusive memory.

oh, well. maybe i should go buy a pack of calcium pills, so i can peel the stickers off with my nails in about a week or so.

I removed the stickers slowly when the vaio was a little warm.
On the edge there was a rest of glue.
I took a towel with my tft-cleaner and the glue was history.
Bye the way, it´s the best tool to clean the display.

And the feeling without the stickers is much better than before
