When i insert videos and photos to my sony vaio (from my sony cameras) my laptop automatically creates smaller file types of the inserted file.... How can i diselect this option?
Hi gechant,
These are duplicated thumbnail images of all the photographs on your Vaio created by Vaio Content Analyzer which is used to import/export media files into Vaio Media.
Vaio Media allows you to share your Music, Picures and Video across your home network. If you do not use Vaio Media, you may wish to turn off creation of these hundreds of files.
You can delete them but they will probably reappear. If you want to stop them appearing go to VAIO Content Analyser Settings in control panel.
In the 'Pictures and Videos' and 'Music' Tabs, uncheck all "analyse" check boxes. This will stop the content analyser from creating those annoying folders.
To remove all these existing folders select 'Monitoring Folders' and uncheck all the check boxes. Ignore the warning message that the folders are being deleted.
If you are nervous about deleting you can always just hide these files as they are 'hidden files' in Windows. You will only see them if you have elected to see hidden files and folders in folder options.
Will do so!!! Many thnaks!!!!
