Mouse curser moves slowly across the screen.

My mouse curser moves slowly across the screen and sometimes jumps to where I want it. Is there a fix for this problem?     Jim

Hi Jim,

Have you tried increasing the pointer speed? Click Start > All Programs > Vaio Control Center > Keyboard and Mouse > Pointing Device > Advanced > Pointer Options.

You may also need to adjust the Touch Sensitivity to eliminate jumping. Under Mouse Properties click the Device Settings Tab > click Settings > expand Sensitivity and click Touch Sensitivity.

These instructions refer to a Synaptics Touchpad V7.0 and depending on which model and touchpad you have yours may vary slightly.
