The above message appears every time the laptop is powered up from cold.
If left on for about 10 minutes whilst displaying this message and then powered off and then powered on again, it boots OK.
Its necssary to wait at least 10/15 minutes otherwise the message appears.
Sometimes after warming up like this its necessary to power on and on twice but never more than twice.
Once on the laptop operates with no problem whatever. Its even possible to power it on and off and it boots no problem as long as its still warm.
The problem started some months back with an occasional need to re-boot but it happens every time now.
I've removed the HD and replaced it but it made no difference so it seems its not the HD thats the problem.
I suspect there are a large number of transient h/w issues that could be the problem but I'd appreciate any suggestions.
