notbook (PCG-GRV516G) shuts down on its own

My PCG-GRV516G sometimes shuts down when it is running several promgrams at the same time. I think it's because of the RAM, although it seams there is not problem there! Can anyone help me :smileyconfused::

May be temperature related....processor getting too hot.

Maybe dust is cause of your problem.

I would suggest cleaning the fans too

If none of the above work.

1. What OS are you running and how much RAM have you got?

2. Right click My Computer / Properties / Hardware / Device Manager
Report back if any "Yellow" Errors here.

3. Control Panel / Performance & Maintenance / Admin Tools / Event Viewer / System
Look for "Red" Errors. If you find one (or many!) double click it and note down the Error number and Source. Post it back here. There may be many the same and if so you need only check one of them.

4. Have you got/ever had Easy CD Creator 5?

5. Your machine is shutting down without producing a BOSD and an Error Message
To make it do this if you can face the BOSD
Right click My Computer / Properties / Advanced / Start up & Recovery / Settings
Clear the check from "Automatically Restart"
You will then get a BOSD with an Error Message which will help identify the problem
