Hello,
I would like to replace the HDD in my sony vaio vgn-sz2xp/c with a SSD HDD.
Has anybody done this?
Must it be an IDE- HDD?
Under SiSoft Sandra my HDD is with a SATA150 category- does this make sense?
Thanks for help
Solved! Go to Solution.
No - you have a SATA HDD.
Check the specifications for your model here: -

The drives in my link will simply plug into your SZ Vaio.
No, you have a SATA interface - so you will need a SATA interfaced SSD.
Have a look here for guaranteed compatible SSD drives for your model: -

But currently I habe a Seagate HDD IDE!
If I buy an SATA SSD how will I connect it?
Thanks for your help so far!
