Vaio power management

Hello guys. I wasnt able to find some topic that might solve my problem so I am asking here. However I am quite sure that I need to reinstall drivers but I dont know what drivers . Yesterday when I tryed to install a game my dvd drive was not responding etc etc and I couldnt turn off laptop through start-turn off-turn off. So I had to do that manually. But actually After turning it on powered by battery only, screen is at 100% of brightness and none of Vaio power modes workes, i.e when I use "max akku-lebensdauer (max battery life) " screen is not darker, everything behaves like if laptop was plugged in. Also I cannot see a green bar when changing volume anymore but that doestn make me angry ofc... Any ideas what driver should be reinstalled/where can I find that one? . thanks

Hi Levelman,

The solution normally resolves function keys issues..

Download the Preinstalled Utilities for your Vaio from Vaio-Link, once downloaded extract and then install the following, in order.

1 Sony Utilities
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service

Once completed then re-boot your vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..:smileywink:
