Vaio VGN-FE28H RAM issue!

Hi,
I am relatively new to the forums and having some confusion with my laptop's memory. I have a Vaio VGN-FE28H and upgraded to vista home premium version with 2GB of ram but it is slow. Wanted to know if I can upgrade to 4GB as someone I know who's got the same model claims it can be done but I obviously don't want to rush into anything! Orcalogic says its only configurable to 2GB (1+1 of DDR2 667MHz) so I think maybe the same kind of memory but 2+2 but then again I am no computer expert.. Can someone please help??

Hi, I own a FE 31m and asked a technican who worked for VL cause I've had the same idea and my system is only equiped with 1 Gb.

In general Sony doesn't support it BUT there is no limitation in the Bios, so I'll give it a try next time I buy RAM.
Maybe if you're trying it before you could send me a short feedback.

So tested different types of memory now:

2 Gb modules are working !
1 GB modules are working
512 MB are working

2Gb + 512MB working
2Gb + 1 Gb NOT working
2GB + 2 GB only 3 Gb detected in Bios (not a 32 bit error!)

The not working with 2+1 GB is only partly for me ubuntu failed to load the nvidia kernel module - only low grafic mode, using windows the bootupscreen until login isn't visible.
