How can I get camera to work on Vaio VGN-FZ145E?
Hi NarendraBhakta,
Has the camera failed recently?
Is the camera showing in Device Manager and if so are there any warning symbols or error messages against it?
Are you still using the original operating system?
The more information you can provided the better the chance of someone being able to help.

Hi Narendra,
If the camera (Imaging Device) is not showing in Device Manager and there are no ‘Unknown’ devices listed then there is a strong possibility that you have a hardware problem. Can you post a screenshot of Device Manager?
Unfortunately the only way to be sure of this to carry out a restore to factory settings using either your recovery disks (assuming that you created these), or from the hard disk recovery utility by tapping F10 at boot when you see the Vaio logo.
Before considering a restore you could try reinstalling the Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC4 Driver. As your model is of USA or Canada origin you will need to download the drivers from here:
