Hi!
Wanted to boost performance of my VAIO VPCCW1S1E/R so I bought some new memory:
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 SO-DIMM PC3-8500 1066MHz CL7, CM3X8GSDKIT1066
According to the specs it should fit perfactly but when I install it the VAIO won't boot. I cant even access the BIOS. The screen just stays black and no VAIO logo is showing. When I install the stock 2 x 2GB memory modules again, it boots without any problems.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
Can it be a combatibility problem with Corsair and the chipset?
Should I buy Kingston memory instead?

We don't see memory incompatibility problems often - but when we do it is always with Corsair memory.
Most of us here use CRUCIAL memory because they guarantee compatibility: -
