Why does my sony vaio vpceb1e0e keep freezing and is really slow?

I've it for around 2 years and never before a week or so back has it lagged and kept crashing.

It will take round 10 mins to turn on and 15 to turn off, compared to before which on avergae was around 3 mins.

Any programs including itunes, gogle chrome, or my documents folders keep crashing.

I have tried defragmentation and many update and clearing out space but nothing seems to help.

Have you tried a Registry Cleaner?

This sort of thing could be caused by a lot of things but one of the most common is broken Registry links where the System is looking for a file that has been uninstalled, corrupted or no longer exists.  I would try this first before looking for other causes and remedies.

It does sound like it possibly may be something that you've installed such as a program or maybe an update.

A good thing to try would be if you remember the date that the laptop started to slow, try and restore the laptop to before this date. It is very possible that the laptop has taken badly to a large update, and a lot of the time, this works!
