How bad can a user experience possibly be?

Okay so after about 20 minutes of you giving me errors and not letting me sign up to even post on this forum (great website btw xd) I can finally post asking for help. I'm sure I will get a great response.

My not too bright friend in jail who thinks its 2005 bought a £200 sony NWAA45? (something like that) walkman. And he wants me to put music on it because he doesn't understand that spotify exists. Anyway since sony doesn't have live chat or a UK call line that I'm aware of all I can do is post here.

How exactly is anyone meant to do this is my question especially someone who hasn't done this before (not me), I followed the guide that it installed for me step by step. I have a bunch of albums with cover art and all the correct tags etc on "media center go" or whatever this program is it recommended I use. It all looks nice, I thought it would be as simple as transferring all my music from there to the device like with an iPod or something. But no, it just doesn't work. Nothing is sorted, there's no cover art and it doesn't even show the artists name or the title despite it doing so on my PC in the software perfectly.

I read something about special tags and stuff that have to be correct but sony don't tell you that, and I don't have a clue how to do that. I don't understand why they made it this awkward to put music on an mp3 player in 2018. Sorry if I sound tilted it's 2am and sony don't have a live chat so I'm screwed. This isn't even my product and I'm annoyed at how bad the experience is. I just want to know how to get my music on it correctly. Because your guide is most certainly not correct.

Hi bigyikessony,

Could you let us know of the operating system of your PC? Also, what is the source of the songs you're trying to transfer? iTunes? Windows Media Player?

Cheers,
