NWZ-A15 Playlist folder missing

Hello

Trying to create a playlist on my NWZ-A15 but having problems. When I select the playlist button two names appear but they are album names. When I select one of them the message is "No songs are available for playback. Please connect t compliant software or device and transfer songs"

I then connect to the laptop. The device is recognised and all the folders are there except for a playlist folder or indeed the names of the two "playlists" shown on the device itself.

I have followed all the guidance about creating a playlist on a "PC media Player" and syncing. However the playlist I create is merely placed in the Music folder under "Unknown Artist" (all the tracks are in there)

But no playlist is shown on the device when I disconnect it (it is shown in the music folder as "Unknown")

HELP

Thanks

Hi DougieMac

Welcome to the community.

I'll just see if I can find any help regarding this. In the meantime though, maybe another community member might have some ideas.

Thanks,

Pascale

Spoiler
Pascale Thanks for this

The problem has now continued. I noticed on my old walkman there was a PLAYLIST folder but not on the new one, so I created one, and added the playlist files. Still they wont show up on the device.

I have now reset the device, formatted it and deleted ALL the music (i have a back up). All music folder in device are empty in explorer. I disconnect the device  check the library and the files are all listed but wont play.

Yet again when I connect the device to the PC no files are shown

I think I am slowly going mad lol

Hi DougieMac,

Lots of media players allow you to create a playlist. If you make sure the format of the playlist file is .m3u copy it to the Music folder in your Walkman, it should appear on the device.
