Sony SRS-XB10 speaker - bluetooth connection

Sony SRS-XB10 speaker - bluetooth connection

Hi

hope someone can help.

My SRS-XB10 speakers will not make a bluetooth connection with my PC laptop (running windows 7). The laptop sees the device, but registers it as "headphones" and therefore it says I would need a jack connection. It also downloads/finds new drivers, but I think they must be for headphones.

I cannot change the jack option to a USB connection in order to see if I get any sound, anyway what's the point of that with portable bluetooth speakers.

The laptop "sees" other devices so that's not a problem.

The speakers work fine with iphone and Macbook.

ANY help much appreciated!

Oh and if anyone knows how to get them to work with a 6 year old Samsung TV that would also be appreciated - presumably I need a bluetooth plug in of some sort?

cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

You can find more details on how to pair and use the speaker with a computer using Windows 7 here.

In answer to your second question, I believe this speaker is not compatible with TV's.

Cheers,
