Sony Walkman NW-A45HN - Bluetooth issue with car stereo

Hi there,

I have recently purchased this Walkman and was wondering if it is possible to change the AVRCP bluetooth version? If not, does anyone have a car stereo that isn't Sony that works via Bluetooth and shows song title would be much appreciated.

The issue I'm having is, I have a Sony MEX-N5000BT car radio installed and it doesn't display the track metadata. It can skip tracks fine but doesn't display the song title, I've checked the Sony website and the Walkman is supported via Bluetooth with the car stereo.

I've checked and I can't see any information on this.  I will try and get an answer for you.

In the meantime perhaps someone else in the community will be able to advise you on this.

I don't think it's possible to change the Bluetooth profile on  your Walkman and I haven't tried connecting to a non-Sony car stereo.

I will try and check for your if displaying song info is a supported function between the devices or not.

It's mentioned in the manual of the car radio (page 11) that depending on the audio device, information such as title, track number/time and playback status may not be displayed.

I've checked the support page of your car radio on Sony's website and wasn't able to find the model of your Walkman among the supported models. You can find it on this link to check for yourself.
