Random wifi drops + slow wifi speeds

I am experiencing random wifi drops on my XA2 Ultra.  I will be sitting there and suddenly no wifi.  A few minutes later, it will reconnect.

Also, the wifi speed is 30 Mbps slower than it is on my old beat-up Galaxy Note 4.  70 Mbps on my old Galaxy, but only 40 Mbps on the XA2 Ultra.  There is nothing wrong with my wifi, as my Surface is also getting 70 Mbps.  Why is the wifi speed so slow?

Does anyone else have this issue?  Could it be fixed in a future software update?  I tried checking my IMEI number for available updates on Sony's site, but I received an error message saying that the service isn't available now.  Currently running 8.0.0.  I would expect 8.1 to be available now, but it doesn't seem like it is?

Thanks!

I've got the same problem as well.

If I rotate my mobile to play a game, and I held it with 2 hands, then the situation is more critical.

Sony, any solution?

Same problem here, only this phone. All other devices work perfectly with the WiFi network, tablets, Playstation Xbox, other cell phones with Mac OS, or Android.

While it's disconected, the WiFi near search Is running, my saved home WiFi network appears disabled. Sometimes i have to delete it so reappears again on the WiFi near search and i connect it again write the key and save It.

This also occurs more frequently at horizontal position than vertical.

I was thinking that maybe some app cause this, but now, it's definetly an Xperia XA2 Ultra general issue.

I'm a Sony cell phone user since year 2005 (Ericsson) till today, with this serious issue I am very dissapointed, and even more cause there is no Sony answer, question, or at least a word from them saying "we are working on that" or "make this", "download this", "disabled that", or anything.

Well, if you are here because the same, please, post "me too".

Regards everyone
