sony service center, Hosur, India is the worst service centre on earth with rude technicians and cheating managers. I bought xperia XA1 phone on 20-Dec-2017 and within 7 months, screen edges started malfunctioning. Then I approached sony service, Hosur in October 2018, and got the full screen replacement under warranty in November, 2018. Again in 4 months’ time, Mar 2019, screen started malfunctioning. On approaching sony service centre, Hosur, they said that the full screen had to be replaced at my cost Rs6500 as their repair warranty is for 3months only. Understanding the poor quality of sony products, I thought, there is No guarantee that even if I spend another Rs6500, it is going to work for another few years from then. Finally, I filed complaint against sony in consumer’s forum on 8th June, 2019 for low quality products and pathetic service. I used this xperia xa1 peacefully for 7months only. So, I asked for refund of my money or free replacement of screen.
Then on 31-Aug-19, I got a call from velan, sony regional manager asking me to submit phone and he would replace screen for FREE within 2 weeks (complete whastapp chat is available for proof). Believing him, I format phone and submitted on 4-Sep-19. Since then I keep following them, nobody responds properly. Then finally velan communicated on 26-Sep-19 that they can’t replace the screen for free, instead he gave me alternate option to buy another xperia xa1 at a discount price of Rs4000. But he won’t give box, bill, charger, headset and warranty will be for 3months only. Probably he was trying to cheat with a refurbished phone. Sony themselves don’t have a confidence that their phone will work for more than 3 months. What a third grade low class product! velan and sony have cheated me. His phone number is <personal information removed>. Please don’t call and scold him as he is shameless, and we waste our time only. Till now (27-Nov-19) they did not do any service and did not return my phone, it is with sony service centre, Hosur only. I also don’t worry as I plan put that useless sony xperia in sewage only. But I am more happier now that my xperia is even more at appropriate place than the sewage.
I will never buy, and never suggest anybody to buy low class products of sony.
