I've had a Z2 since September and have never been able to use the magnetic charging point with the DK 36 that came with the phone.
The magnetic clasp connects the phone to the charging station, but the phone won't charge. I have only been plugging the docking station into the mains supply (as instructed). I
have tried replacing the docking station and using a different one, but this makes no difference. The magnetic charging point is not loose either.
Has anyone had this problem and been able to get it fixed without mailing their phone to Sony? If so, how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance for your assistance...

You need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Thanks for getting back to me Thommo,
I was afraid that would be the answer. Will probably wait until after the New Year before sending it off to Sony....
Nice to know I'm not being an idiot though
It is confirmend that some series of charging station DK36 were faulty and Sony will replace them with correct ones?
Mine work only after minimum 10 tries of putting the phone in.
It's not robust at all. I really fed up with this accessory.
When I finall find a good position and it is charging, then I hit the desk and it stops charging.
I'm using AC charger and I'm haveing correct adapter (non-cover) .
Should I return to ebay seller?
