No Repair For Xperia Z...?

My Xperia Z SIM Card Slot Is Not Working and I Went To Sony Autorised Service Center (Indira Nagar,Bangalore) And They Told Me There Is No Service For Z.

At The Same Time One Of The Staff Told Me That They Will Call Me Back Within 3days After Getting Approval From H/O For Replacement Of Mobile..,But Still There Is No Response..

    Why There Is No Repair..? I Have Paid 38k For Buying It..Even Apple Has Repair..

Similar experience i had with xperia ZR.

I was told since ZR and Z has water resistance, it cant be repaired, seems like a good reason.

Nevertheless, I myself have even seen some Z got replaced, when i was in the service centre.

Probably, it might be the first case in that service centre:smileywink:

They told me it's physical damage so i can't claim warranty.. But it's ok i'm ready to pay if it gt replaced or repaired.. But they were simply playing.. i'll call u back within 1 day,2 day.. want approval from h/o to do whatever..because of xperia z..

If they can't repair or do anything against.. y they are producing it.. to cheat customers ah..?? Now a days  i really hate sony because of this damn shit..

Needed a week to find a service and then they tell me there is nothing we can do. Authorised sony service and they dont know what to do ... Stupid idiots ...

I had visited the repair center - Vigneswara enterprises in Koramangala, Bangalore for the repair of my xperia Z which is not turning on as to water entered the phone through the panels.

I am ready to pay for the service since my phone is out of warrany. But I have been informed that NO SERVICE IS POSSIBLE FOR XPERIA-Z. This seems very absurd as the phone was launched by Sony over 2 years back and hence it is ridiculous that Sony cannot offer service for this phone. The only option they have provided is that SONY CAN REPLACE THE PHONE AT A DISCOUNT. When I enquired as to how much the discount would be - I received a response saying that it depends on the damage of your phone but typically it is about 20% DISCOUNT ONLY.

I bought this phone in Oct 2012. Why would I want to shell out another 24000 Rs. to get a replacement when I bought the phone at Rs. 38000 ? It is really apalling that SONY does not offer repair on the xperia Z.They should make sure that they provide this information beforehand - in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS when selling this phone to customers. Or just discontinue selling this phone if you dont yet have the technology to repair this phone.

i had my xperia Z screen cracked and gave it for replacement...they just kept on postponing dates telling 2days 3days....but now they are telling that 'its out of stock and they will be giving me T2 ULTRA instead! i trusted SONY so much and to be frank i just luv xperia phones....but now i just hate it....:'(

Facing exactly the same issue but with my Xperia ZL. As far I came to know going through this thread, they dont repair XPERIA Z, XPERIA ZL, XPERIA ZR. Then what do they repair ? Its been two years since the phone launched and now they say that they have stopped repairing these phones. I dont find anything mentioned in the EULA though.  The service centre guy (INDIRANAGAR, BANGALORE, KARNATAKA) asked me if the phone was under warranty and when I said no, he straight away gave me the phone back even without caring to see what the problem actually was. 

I reckon, they messed up the hardware on these phones when they manufactured and they realized this lately and before they could be blamed for it, they came up with this idea. And from what I have heard and read on many forums, SONY wont be selling any phones in INDIA going forward. And the reason is , they cannot compete with the likes of Micromax and Motorola. How can they when they do not provide proper service and manufacture such devices that break down within two years, the customer buys them. 

Why do I have to answer so many questions before posting a reply. I s it their way of not letting people post here? Someone would rather not bother posting here than answering the stupid questions that pop up. Not me though...

If the review is something that would influence a customer's opinion, I would request you not to buy SONY phones. Save your money and buy some other phones but not SONY. POOR POOR SERVICE and WORST MANUFACTURER.
