I've just downloaded a 1920x1080 image which I want to use as my main phone screen.
Yet when I choose it, it's too big. I can only see a about a quarter of it. How do I change the settings so it automatically resizes?

As above you would need to use a third party launcher for this. Using the default launcher will mean that you will always need to crop the image to the specific aspect ratio of the blue box that pops up when you choose to set a custom image as the wallpaper.

I can't see a way to change this on the Sony launcher.
I use Nova and this allows the user to set the wall paper to Scrollable, Landscape and Portrait.

Thanks for the reply Sam
Ok this is annoying. I've just changed the lock screen to the image I wanted to use, and I "cropped" it to the full picture.
Why can it not do that for the home screen?
This is because the lock screen does not have multiple windows or tiles so it crops to the one tile size.

you could always download a live wallpaper where you can set the photo as fullscreen there, just do a quick google search
