possible fix for read error

Just wanted to let people know if you have a phone case and nfc on your phone and keep a card with a chip on it in the case. This could cause read error as I have just found out the vibration and read error that has been driving me mad all day started since I put the card in my phone case the nfc keeps trying to read it but obviously fails causing read error. Hope this may help someone in the future 😄

That is interesting, I will see if I can replicate that here and I would be very interested to see if anyone else can confirm this.

Yes, this problem came up some time ago, I personally spent a lot of time to help someone because we thought it is something about the SD card. One of the crew just head-shoot me with this idea and it actually was it - the paypass/paywave card in the same cover and close onught to trigger the NFC.

It's very easy to replicate, just close your credit card to the phone and it start yalling "read error" because it doesn't recognize the chip there Winking_Face

I am sure you helped a lot of people dude Winking_Face

@Foxxi - Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

You can still use the case for holding the card if you wish, just turn off NFC when you are not using it:

Main Menu Settings > More > Untick NFC.

I've been having this problem all day. It was my phone trying to read the chip in my credit card
