Priority mode Xperia Z3 Dual 5.0.2

Please, can someone explain me how the a/m mode works?

What I need: all muted except the alarm clock's tone.

How I setup the priority mode:

- when calls and notifications arrive - allow only priority interruptions

- events and reminders OFF

- calls OFF

- messages OFF

What I get in priority mode:

the incoming call rings at full blast (shouldn't it be muted?) and rejecting the call does switch off priority mode (the star goes out).

I am puzzled as I tried all possible combinations and I haven't found any solution, please help.

Of course I do this all the time, I go to sleep and but my phone on silent mode, alarms will ring through. If this is not working with you, try clearing cache of both "Audio Settings" and "Clock" apps, then restarting your phone. Set an alarm and go Silent mode.

I appreciate your input BUT the solution is not out there.

I do understand how that feature work (I was sarcastic above) but it does not work as promised - please read again what is my problem.

Under the priority interruptions settings

Calls: Off
Calls/messages from: Starred contacts only

There doesn't seemed to be an option to select none.

Restart the phone

I would have everything off (all toggle switches) thus nothing except alarms should have been active.
But that is not the case.
Your solution will not help as I do not want to receive any calls but have the alarms active.
And as per my understanding, those setting should allow it - I don't understand where the problem is.

Moreove, why rejeciting of a call would de-active "priority" mode?
This all must be one big bug.

Perhaps @Rickard comment on this

I hope that I have been able to made myself clear here.
In Kitkat, I would have just silenced everything and checked alarm's option "ring in silent mode".
Since that great feature has been removed (why?!) I can't use the phone the way I like, moreover, the alternative (?) has not been working for me.

@Rickard, please help.

Just FYI: vibrations work in the priority mode - I've learned it hard way, last night.

I miss this feature also.

But as I was told, the priority mode is all-best-feature now - fine with me but please, someone explain me how to set it to make it working as advertised!
