problem updating via Pc Companion

I am updating my Z2 (D6503) to android L, the download is complete, however, Pc Companion asked me  to turn off my device and to disconnect my device, then to press volume down key while reconnecting my device, my problem lies here, I did that, and I have pressed the key for about 5 miniuts, yet nothing happened, what could be the problem? My Pc is running on win 8, and I am located in Syria>

I have also tried Flashtool to make sure that my device had entered flashmood and yes it is in flashmood, so the problem is from Pc caompanion

Have PC Companion ever worked with your phone before?

Yes, I have used it to do backup, and to transfer media files, but never for softwear issues.

Hi Naim

First try using a different USB port/cable if possible. If that doesn't work make sure you have the latest version of Java installed to your PC. Also, try temporarily disabling any anti-virus/firewall software & try the process again.

Antivirus is off, firewall is off, tried two diffrant cables and three USB ports, still the same, however I deon't have the leatest virsion of java installed so I am on it now.

Run PCC on compatibility mode then try again.

Thanks for everyone on this one, this problem solved by using compitay mood lunching PCC, updating java to the leatest version, and it seem my PC was offline.
