Unable to turn off PIN code on lockscreen

Hi! 

I hope you can help me again I put a pin code on my phone, but now I want to take it off, and I am unable to. When I into the screen lock menu, None and Swipe are greyed out, and it says it's disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage. 

To my knowledge I never disabled anything, but if I did somehow, I have no idea how or where I did it. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

This is an experia z3 compact, and it has the new update.

the 'hopeful xperia care' advised me to repair my phone!, while simply clearing it fixed the problem
