The Z2 xloud feature was merged with clearaudio+ which makes the sound volume sound lower, that includes calls, notifications and media sound. It's speakers potential are better with the single xloud sound enhancement, and an update for that must be made in the marshmallow update. Is there any sign that confirms a sound improvements in the marshmallow update?
Thanks.

I'm afraid i don't know if Android 6.0 will bring any changes here but xLOUD is still there in 5.1 and should not produce lower volume than before. If you notice that the maximum volume has decreased, try to carefully clean the speakers and see if this helps.

X loud on 5.1? Sound interesting. How to activate?

In the update to Android 5.1, we simplified the audio settings and moved "Clear Stereo", "Clear Phase" and "xLOUD" into "ClearAudio+". So when you turn on ClearAudio+ under Settings -> Sound -> Audio settings this enables xLOUD.
