Xperia z3 4k video conversion stopped

Hi,
I recorded a 3 minute long 4k video of my little boy taking his first steps.

However, when you I stopped the recording it appeared that the phone had frozen. I didn't realise that technical wizardry was going on in the back ground to then create the video.

So, in my impatience, I long pressed the screen and force stopped the application.
The 4k video would have been created to my SD card
As a result I now can't find this precious recording on my phone and don't know what to look for to find it.

Please can you help or let me know if this video can be recovered or can still be found and converted?

open the file commander > SD card > DCIM > Xperia > check that folder and also 100ANDRO

If the camera app froze, the process of recording might not have ended. So I am sorry to say but you could have lost it.

I have found it, all present and correct. It was in 100ANDRO. What a huge relief. Massive smile.

Have now taken out and reinserted the SD card too and it has found the file

Anytime I know how it feels to lose precious pictures, don't forget to back up either with your PC or Google cloud or box etc every week.
