Hi
When the display brightness is lowered, the color turns green. The effect is pronounced from 1/5 to the minimum brightness and affects mainly light shadows. The effect is more visible at 120Hz, so if I switch 60/120 in the menu, I immediately see the difference in the color of the interface field!
It does not depend on the mode settings (Creator / Standard).
I have done a hard reset and software restore through the Xperia Companion app. It did not help.
I went back to the store and compared it with the sample from the display case. On the right is my phone.
Sounds like a fault with the display mate, you may need to get it looked at.
Is this a hardware problem?
Seems so, I mean if its been that way since purchase and you haven't changed any white balance settings, you know if no software update or downloaded file caused this, also since the software repair didn't repair it, it's more likely to be a hardware issue.
Where did you buy it from?
Official seller in Moscow. I've already contacted them. Waiting for a response
Yeah I was gonna suggest contacting a tech agent of theirs before checking your repair options, must still be in warranty, being a new device and all.
Repair is the last, extreme option. I need an exchange. Although I have a good copy in optics, next time I may not be lucky elsewhere
The "green" tint is sort of normal, and does happen across all brands at low brightness.
I bet they w ill put it down to panel variances, and within normal spec.
You might want to read up on oled green tint at basically 0 brightness.
