Hi people,
I have one more problem with the new TV. At every restart it forgets the CA Module operator profile. Is there a way to make it remember the profile? This is basic TV functionality and it worked on my 3 year old Philips Android TV.
Thank you!
LE: Actually I have to retune it everytime I turn it on. I never thought this might a problem for a TV in this century
When the TV Starts it says there are no channels stored. I click Set Up Now and in the background of the menu the TV starts running. If I hit the TV button on the remote, than I go back to the No channels stored screen. This is insane. I think I will return it.
I guess I found something and it's a combination of factors. First off, the CI+ 1.3 CAM does some shady things, and not only on my TV, but also on my neighbor's LG TV. But that's no excuse because it worked pretty much OK on my old 3 year old Philips with Oreo.
To bring the TV into a functioning state I had to:
- pull out the CI+ CAM
- reset to factory settings
- setup the TV
- scan for digital channels
- insert the CI+ CAM
- refuse to install the profile
And now the TV works, but I don't have the TV channels in the proper order. Which is not a big problem. The only problem is that I get asked pretty frequently if I want to install the Operator profile from the CAM. And I have to reply with No every time. Is there a way to disable this message?
So thank you Sony for some poor quality software and for advertising the 49XG9005 as an ATV3 platform, while it's still ATV2. And this info is pretty hard to find over the internet when you don't know what to search for. The TV panel is worse than last year`s XF900 series, in fact XG900 is the same TV with a worse panel. And also thank you Telekom for the CI+ module that randomly works.
This is getting outrageous. I just tried the channel editor, imported the new reordered channel list, and nothing changes even after TV restart.
Hi lucianpacurar,
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi Lucianpacurar,
Did you try performing a soft reset? The steps are mentioned here: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00152532
Cheers,

Hi,
I actually performed a factory reset a couple of times. After every TV restart (soft reset) the TV asks me if I want to load the profile from the CI+ and I have to hit No everytime. If I could at least get rid of this message, because I couldn't care less about the operator profile.
Thanks,
Lucian
