Annoying

Hi will be grateful if anyone can help. We have a Sony Bravia and every time an advert changes, programme starts or ends we keep getting a black band appearing at the top of the screen with the name of the HDMI port and numbers relating to it, also once a programme has started we get the title of the programme and time coming up on the screen about 2 -3 minutes into the programme.

It sounds like you're referring to the info banner.

Which TV do you have?

On Android sets you can  disable it from:

Home - Settings - Channel setup - Info banner - Disable
