Help!
Hello
I just purchased a Sony KD-75XH9005. First disappointment came when I connected my multi feed satellite dish to it and realized it only has diseqc version 1.0. My 7 year old LG had version 1.2. Then I went to Google play store to install Opera browser only to realise there are no browsers at all too download and I'm stuck with the generic pre-installed web browser which is not fit for purpose. There's also no BBC iplayer or Jetaudio. Are Sony really selling TVs with wors software than a £30.00 android TV box or is there something wrong with my model.
Any input is greatly appreciated

Hi Avensis471,
Since your TV is running Android TV you have to rely on the 3rd party software that is compatible with Android TV (Android is not Android TV). So if e.g. Opera hasn't been released for ATV you won't be able to install it.
However, please try the Puffin browser app - I like it a lot.
Cheers
Peter

That explains a lot.
I didn't know that the android on my phone and the android on my TV are two
different things.
But still they shouldn't advertise something that you can't install at the
moment like BBC IPLAYER.
Thanks again for your help

BBC iPlayer is part of the YouView feature of the TV. It should already be installed and available.
