ITV Hub and KD-49XD8088

Ever since I bought the TV (around 2 years ago) ITV hub has been patchy.

Either you outright can't paly a program (either selecting it from the Freeview menu, or directly within the app), or it fails to come out of advert breaks mid program.

This is a big PITA, and, unless fixed, means I won't be buying another Sony Android TV.  I end up watching catch up shows on my old YouView box, rather than the TV.

I've checked to ensure the TV is on the latest firmware etc, and it is.

Does anyone else suffer with this, and is there a fix?

Hi DrummerBoy68,

 

Have you tried clearing the data on YVservicehost and Youview app and launching the ITV app again? P.S. this will reset Youview and you'll have to set it up again once you open the app.
