Hi

As im new to this tv would you answer a couple of question.

1, Pressing the power button on the remote does not completely turn the tv off hence the sound bar will stay on, with my old tv when i turned on or off the sound bar would follow suit so i have had to disable the auto power.

2, The remote is quite basic so when im watching a film and want to expand the picture to remove the black bars i dont know how or if its possible.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @ushert

1. What happens when you enable auto power on your soundbar (make & model?). My soundbar Sony HT-ZF9 Power off/on follows the TV.

2. If aspect ratio is available for the input (probably won’t be on 4K) press [Action Menu] on your remote and select Wide mode.

Hi

When i enable auto power it does not turn off, My soundbar is a Samsung HW-H55O. I have also checked the action menu and there is no wide screen.

All tvs i have had could zoom but not this one.

Hi @ushert

Make sure HDMI Control (CEC) is enabled on both TV and soundbar. Also that the soundbar is connected via HDMI (ARC). [Action Menu] -> Sync shows control available for your soundbar.

Your TV should have “Wide mode” available if the input is SD or HD. Try Digital BBC One and see if Wide mode is available.
