Our 55" AF9, at switch on most times comes up with the "Digital Auto Tune" final region screen overlying whatever we want to watch. The screen has a the usual "OK" box, but will not respond to the remote. The only way to get rid of it is to turn the TV off and on again. It doesn't seem to matter which input it is set to come on with. It happens most but not every time the TV is switched on.
We have obviously tried running the Digital auto tune, which runs to the same "Region" setting screen, which is correct, then closes with the OK button. Next switch on, back it comes.
This is ruining an otherwise fantastic TV, has anybody any idea how to stop it?

Hi @ianwilli Personally, I would first try a reset and if that doesn’t work I would try a full factory reset. Worth checking that the message is being generated from the TV and not from a connected device. Seems strange that the "OK" will not respond using the TV remote, which could suggest the wrong remote.
I have exactly the same problem. Have you resolved it?
Hi I have the the same problem. Please can any one help. It only comes on first thing in the morning. The tv is one stby at night for it to clean the screen. Yes if you turn off the tv then back on it goes but for this money its not acceptable. May have to return it to currys.
An Engineer from my supplier has visted and thinks it is caused by the TV having more than one strong signal available due to my geographic location between regions. He has switched off the Auto Retune in Settings. Very early days so far but no recurrence. I would be interested to hear what Sony say.
Thanks for that last post have set my auto tune to off.. lets see if it works for me too. 😊😊
Hi Fred ,
I have the same issue on the 65 inch screen but I cant find the setting auto tune to change to off as you suggest.
Could you let me know where in the menu structure it is so I can try this solution.
thanks
Radgi
