Hi all,
I have Sky (UK) but recently bought the XG95 so I could receive the free to air satellite channels and get rid of Sky.
I currently have Sky Q (Zone 1 Dish, Universal LNB) which is working fine.
I took the cable out of the Sky Q box & plugged in into the main sat connection on the TV.
If you do the simple full tune I get about 4 channels e.g. Bloomberg, etc - but I can't seem to figure out how to get any others.
I've tried going to https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E.html to get the individual freq/polarity/symbol rates but still not finding anything.
Am I doing something obviously wrong?!
Many thanks,
Samuel
Hi @samuelsmith
Sky Q uses a wideband LNB. Are you using a Hybrid LNB with six outputs? Sky usually replace the standard LNB with one only suitable for Sky Q.
Thanks @LightFoot - I should have said I have a single cable universal Dcss LNB. In the settings I input fixed antenna with single cable. So hoped that would have worked...

Hi all,
So I bought the new LNB, changed it over and then re ran the full scan tuning on the TV.
This time it's a little better - It picks up approx. 230 channels (although most are duplicates). However it seems like only half the channels shown actually work.
e.g. these are the ones that do work:
Channels | Freq | Polarity | Symbol Rate |
Travel, DMAX, Quest, Food | 12382 | H | 27500 |
Astra Promo | 12441 | V | 29500 |
SkyNews Arabia, Pick | 12148 | H | 27500 |
Channel 4, Film 4, E4 | 10714 | H | 22000 |
Channel 4, Film 4, E4 | 10936 | V | 22000 |
Which means channels like BBC 1/2/4/News, ITV 1/2/Be, Channel 5/5Spike/5Star, Challenge, Bloomberg, etc don't work.
One thing I notice on https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html is that the ones listed under Sky seem to work, but the ones listed under Freesat don't seem to work.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get these working?!
Many thanks,
Samuel
