When I first searched google using the voice search button at the top of the remote
it displayed a whole array of types of results ! Now it only displays YouTube results.
So I could ask "show me the nearest Curry House" and
it shows videos from YouTube relating to curry houses !
Like I said at the start it would show my near by curry houses had I asked that. Then I could follow on aswell i.e "what's there telephone number" but now. Nothing 😡😔
please help !!!
And I own a new KD55XD8599BU thanks

Voice search
I have:
Depends on what you ask
But no Opera search
This technical documentation for developers (not necessarily delve):
https://developer.android.com/training/tv/discovery/in-app-search.html?hl=ru
If you have installed an application that implements this interface (SearchResultProvider)
the applications will appear in the search results (of course, if what you're looking for will be found in them)
everything depends on the application developers, they did it or not

Hi @MiCal1967
Can you try doing a couple of voice searches? I want to know if there is a difference on 2015 TVs compared to 2016.
Using the OPs example firstly: "show me the nearest curry houses"
"google Jennifer Lopez"
"search Jennifer Lopez"
"square root of 64"
"weather in Timbuktu"
Cheers
Exactly the same results
Thanks
I have the same problem.
Plus, I'm trying to figure out how to voice command volume up and down. When I say "TV volume up", it shows a bunch of YouTube videos on volume.
I can change the channel, but can't change volume! How stupid can Android TV be?
Same herr, only YouTube results from voice searches
