why does my A6500 shot 6400 iso all the time
hello i mainly shot video and sometimes want a quick shot without thinking just shot and go i use manual for everthing else just some time need to get the shot and move on quickly so dont have time to play with the f stops apture and iso to get the shot bang on i have noticed that for some reason no matter if it is outdoors on a sunny day indoos with lights on it shots at 6400 iso and the pictures come out very noisey any advice is very welcome as i cant stand this any more

Hi Warren,
Can you tell us what lens are you using? and as far as i can tell from your post, the ISO value is set to auto. Am i right?
Also, can you make sure that you have this latest firmware update: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/e-mount-body-ilce-6000-series/ilce-6500/downloads/0001501...

Hello
the camera camera era is running on 1.05 firmware the main lense is a SEL1018 and yes when in auto iso mode it will only take pictures at 6400 iso and ruins the pictures it used to work ok take pictures great not the all look horrible

Does this happen with other lenses or is it just the SEL1018??
