Unable to put books from amazon to the PRS-650

I have the sony PRS-650, and on purchase I asked if I could download books from amazon on the ereader and I was told yes. However I am unable to put the book I downloaded from amazon, onto the PRS-650. Does anyone know how I can do this please?

Books from amazon will not work on the Sony reader . Amazon uses a format that means their books are only intended for the Kindle.

You need to buy epub books for use on the Sony.

if you search for calibre ebook software you will find that there is a way that you will be able to get the books onto your reader.
