i recieved a text on my mobile saying i was a winner of the day for my country and to go to the sonywebsite to claim my prize,, is this a scam?

sent  email to sony to see if it was a scam or not,, havnt gotten a reply yet

entered no promotion or didnt give them my number, txt seems to have come from an american number

If yiu haven't entered a competition or given your mobile number to Sony then it does sound like it's probably a scam..
