ipod dock

my ipod docking station model cmt-mx550i. The standby light is flashing and i cannot get it on any ideas. thanks

It mentions is the user manual that if the standby light flashes then do the following..

Immediately unplug the power cord & check the following..

Are the + and - speaker cords short circuited?

Is anything blocking the ventilation holes?

Is the iPod/iPhone dock short circuited?

After checking the above wait for the standby light to stop flashing & reconnect the power supply & switch on the system..

If the standby light starts flashing again then either contact your Sony support - Contact Sony support

Or your local Sony specialist to arrange for a repair..

Sorry it took so long to let you know the outcome. I switched the system off for 10 mins and then put it back on it has worked a treat since then. Thanks for your help. J
