Hi!
I need to extract some videos from my HD drive (I have a Sony RDR-DC100). I opened the device, taken the HD and plug it in my computer (as another drive). The problem is that I can't access the content in my PC. Windows recognises the hardware but the Sony Drive (Hitachi) may be in a different file system and therefore it can't be accessed.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Enric
Hi Enric,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
As far as I know the only easy way is to leave it in a dc100 and copy the file to a DVD. If yours is broken you may find a used one if the video you need are so important for you
Hi Eric,
I don't think this will work, besides, I guess it isn't recommended to get the internal components of the recorder out. If you wish to transfer data from the recorder to a disc drive, I'd recommend following the steps on page 71 of the manual. You can find a link to the manual here: https://bit.ly/2GzyrLs.
