My new SVR-HDT1000 loses all locally tuned channels over night.
I do a full scan, selecting the region of England that corresponds to our local TV mast, and immediately after the tune there is a strong signal of good quality.
By the next day all local signals have been lost and it has tuned in instead to very weak signals from over 150 miles away. These signals are so weak that the recorder in its current form is totally useless.
I have updated the Firmware.
Any ideas?

Hello further to your posting i too have the same problems i live in wales and prefer to be tuned into BBC/ITV Wales however after a few days or so it loses the welsh stations in favour of the west counrty, whats more i lose the HD channels completey and my timer settings also vanish .
It is so annoying i have just sent an E Mail to Sony Tech to see if they can give me an answer to it,
We have similar problem with SVR-HDT500: we lose all our HD chanels overnight - any solutions?
I have the same problem, HD channels disappear usually overnight. Just back from a week away, nothing recorded.
I think I will take this machine back to John Lewis, this is around the 5th time this has happened in the last couple of months, We receive a real good signal from Crystal Palace.
I had the same problem, cured it by just selecting Region London after scan and nothing after that, all channels including HD have remained for the last month now, hope this helps, BTW im in Crystal Palace area
I have exactly the same problem on my HDT500. I updated the Firmware & have constantly reset to Factory setting then another full rescan which selects the correct channels. A few hours later some of the channels have changed back to the weaker channels which are out of my area! I also am finding it difficult to get an answer on the Topics page. If anyone has solved this problem it would be good to hear how!
I have the same issue here. Has anyone got an answer concerning the issue?
Ok I have contacted the Sony helpdesk, concerning the matter. They say I need to contact an aerial engineer, to split better the signal. It seems the 2 signals in my case French and British are confusing their system. Squib751 I think it is the same for you. Obviously I am not going to get an engineer at my cost for that, I am contemplating a return to the retailer since it is not the right product for my area. Helpdesk had no comment when I mentioned this which you should be read as our product is not really adapted to all consummer and we not going to do anything about it.:smileyangry:
