HT ST5000 Media playback issues

hi, i cant get any media to be reconised by the sound bar, not through the usb reader or the network .

on my usb i have a video.mkv a few atmos demos a few pictures and a .mov file and when i browse the usb i can my folders but it says no file reconised in this catergory or something.

help!

Can you let me know the exact message you are seeing and also if you are receiving an error code ?

Hello @jasonjames71,

.mkv can contain many different video codecs, since it is just a container.

I would try to verify the playback with something, which is definetly compatible and from what I know that is a default h.264 mp4 file.

is what it says. It plays music files fine so I’m guessing when it says media , it actually means  music only ! ??
