HT XT3 Remote control issues.

Hi Everyone.

i am having issues with  my remote control to get it to respond to my HT XT3 soundbar. I brought a new remote control, but that did not resolve the issue. I can turn up and down the sound, I can also press the input button which works, but I just cannot do any other commands with the remote control. I have been in touch with Sony, and they told me it was the remote control, but having brought a new one and tried that, it still does not resolve the issue. Could someone please help me.

i cannot get into my setup page, as the remote control is not functioning, the remote control will only let me turn the volume up and down, and let me use the input button on the remote control, it will not do anything else.

I'd recommend trying to disable any control for HDMI settings on the connected TV and test the performance of the remote control with the soundbar. Sometimes such settings may cause a bit of confusion with signal and commands. You can also try to disconnect the soundbar from the power mains for 1 minute before plugging it back in as this will help to refresh the device.

If the issue remains I'd say have it check at a Sony service centre. You can use this link to locate your nearest one. Keep in mind that the warranty is one year and to have a copy of your VAT invoice handy as it will be your warranty document.
